Does anyone of the board that has natural hair use a flat iron to press their hair? If so, which brand of flat iron.

i dont have my hair pressed a lot but once in three months or so wen i get discouraged about my hair growth there's a lady that irons my hair for me and she uses the ghd flatiron which is really good coz its not too hot and is ceramic

No, she probably means GHD straighters like this one:

It's from this website Styling Shop.

When my stylist flat irons my hair he uses a marcel flat iron that goes on the stove. It comes out very straight and lasts for at least two weeks

Ooooooohhhh.....I'm interested in trying the Hot Tools 1 1/2" ceramic one because the plate goes all the way to the end of the iron. I never seem to be able to get to my roots and I snag hairs trying to. So if anyone has this iron can you let the board know your results. Hot Tools Ceramic Iron

I use the skinny Jilbere ceramic. I previously had the wider Jilbere but it would snag my hair. I'm much happier with the narrow plates.

thanks miss brown thats the one she uses and i love how my hair comes out coz its real straight and swingin!!

Does your hair look it was done with a pressing comb? I used Conair steam flat iron and my hair looks like I blowed dried it straight. Not smooth at all.

Mine, too. It looks like a relaxer and lasts a while.
