I suppose my hair is medium length, but it feels so short to me. In fact, I try not to think about my hair, because I want it to grow and I get discouraged when I think about how much time it will take. Unstretched the back grazes my shoulders, and stretched it is a tiny bit little longer -> but then I am 4b so my hair doesn't shrink as much as a 4a. I transitioned so my hair was never short enough for a TWA. The top layers are definitely not shoulder length though.
I grew it this long by:
transitioning for a year and a 1/3,
wearing braids for 2 months.
staying natural out of braids for about a month, wearing my hair either smoothed down or in a pony tail.
Best ways to smooth hair down for me..
Avocado oil + Aveda elixir combined with a scarf and gel..
Or
Avocado oil + Queen Helene Deep Conditioner + Coconut milk + scarf and gel...
