Natural Shampoos?

I want to try one of the AO shampoos, but so far I have read many reviews that it leaves relaxed hair "hard". I've tried Giovanni's Smooth as Silk. It left my hair Hard as Rocks
Any suggestions? Thanks in advance.

try bentonite clay. its a natural cleanser that leaves the hair clean without feeling stripped.

if you MUST use shampoo (lol) you can try Organix shampoos. they are sulfate free

I like JASON sea kelp - not sure if it's classed as a natural shampoo but it's SLS free.

Some ladies use baking soda or diluted castille soap.

Maybe you should try diluting the Giovanni shampoo with water? Some natural shampoos can leave the hair dry esp if you use too much.

I just used Desert Essence Organics Fragrance Free Shampoo the other day. It has nettle, green tea & jojoba oil in it and did not dry out my hair at all! I'm going to be using it for awhile, maybe it could work for you. It is all natural, vegan, paraben free, etc.

I like castille soap (diluted). You can usually find it at Krogers in addition to health food stores. It can come with lavender, peppermint, almond, and unscented. It lasts a long time and suds up just like shampoo.

Burt's Bees works nicely for me. So far, I have used the liquid and the bars and I like them both. I saw a milk and shea butter body bar at Blooms for 4 dollars and I can't wait to try it.

I have used many organic poos and to me they all leave a drying feeling in the hair but as soon as the moisturizing conditioner touches it, it softens like a baby's bottom. I think they are just made to work that way, or maybe it's because so many of them do not have cones, or parabens, etc in them. Try to keep the shampoo on the scalp only as much as possible and not on the hair.

I don't let the stripping feeling bother me anymore because they work so well and also because I know that the companion conditioner is made to work with them to soften the hair back up. So far the Jason Naturals Jojoba Shampoo is a bit softenig to me. I really really like that one.

You know, if you want to, you could try adding conditioner or a natural oil, even vegetable glycerine to the shampoo for a more softening effect.

Yes I agree with your blog. It was your review on the Jason Naturals poos and conditioners that made me want to try most of them. So far I have the Jojoba and biotin poo and conditioner and will be purchasing the aloe vera and sea kelp next. I have tried the jojoba already and so far I have no regrets.

I have no love affair with NUNAAT naturals but their name is NATURAL. I like ALBA BOTANICALS, a lot...GIOVANNI..ehh..no big deal for me. Aryuvedics may be worth a try.

Oyin Honey Wash is amazing for me. It has so much slip from the aloe gel, and it leaves my hair very clean and soft.

not sure if carols daughter is all natural but i love the tui and black vanilla shampoo. even if it isnt all natural it is sls free. the tui shampoo is the most moisturizing and i love it.

I just contacted the retailer & he said to check at your natural food stores, b/c the shampoo is sold in some natural stores too. He also said that there are Earthly Delight stores that sell it. I looked online & the retailer is in NY.

I use Earthly Delight Tropical Rain Shampoo and I love it. I use it when I don't fee like using a shampoo bar (sometimes I run out of ACV) or when I have a lot of butters and other crap in my hair. I've been meaning to pick up the conditioner too.

co-signing on this . this shampoo definitely doesn't give you the squeaky feeling and IMO it's better than the giovanni shampoo.
