Natural needs help with Porosity and hair dye

I'm getting ready to dye my hair with Clairol Natural Instincts (semi-permanent) I also have some Porosity control shampoo. So what should the order of my steps be so I can get the most out of the poo and the dye?

I'm thinking that the porosity control shampoo would make your hair less porous??? If your hair is less porous then it will absorb less product. But porous hair absorbs more product quickly and can easily be damaged. So I guess I would do the porosity shampoo then let the dye sit as long as possible if it's not too damaging. Hope someone with more experience chimes in...Good Luck!
