This is the FIRST time I've ever been able to EASILY detangle my hair and blow dry it straight. Blowdrying is usually the WORST PROCESS EVER. It makes me not want to do my hair but today, was the first time I put the blowdryer to my hair and it just went straight, like butter. RANDOM!!!! And I'm going to tell you ladies EXACTLY what i did because after searching and searching and searching I think I've finally figured it out.

PRODUCTS:

Motions CPR & EVOO
Aphogee Keratin & Green tea Restructurizer
Aphogee Pro Vitamin Leave in Conditioner
Chi Silk Infusion

Pre-Poo:
Profectiv Mega Growth Anti Breakage Cream
ORS Replinishing pack

TOOLS:
Conair Pink Blow dryer
Denman Brush
jibere Shower comb

These will probably be in my regimen forever I have not straightened yet but I'm sure the results will be delicious. So this is what I did. Motions CPR I don't know if it was that because I've used it before but I will switch deep conditioners

First I have to let everyone know the night before I slathered Profective Mega Growth anti-breakage cream in my hair the night before, and then more ORS replinishing conditoner in my hair in the morning as a pre-poo.... I don't know if that made a difference either but ya know :)
So following my regular shampoo I

1)I took the MOtions CPR and mixed 2 cap full of Bertoli EVOO in it, only what I was putting on my hair. I put A LOT in my hair by the way. Put on a cap and deep conditioned for 35 minutes

2)Washed it all out while detangling with my jibere shower comb. *heaven sent!*

3)Spray in a nice amount of Aphogee green tea Keratin restructerizer.

4) Spray in Aphogee Pro Vitamin leave in Conditioner

5) Took a little chi silk infusion and rubbed that through my hair also

6) Grab Denman and begin blowdrying in sections. I usually use my Denman for tension and it's still difficult but this time it just went straight through it. My hair is blow dried straight as it can get and still feels EXTREMELY soft and NO breakage....

Now to some this may be a lot of protein but my hair ENJOYS protein. I just don't know which one made my hair this soft or the combination, but I feel just like when I did when my hair dresser used to do it. It made me feel like, I can do this! I don't have to texlax. MY hair just went straight like it used to with a perm. Some of you may not believe me but I am amazed and this is just a prayer answered for me. Up until this point I HATED my hair and HATED doing my hair. But I am extremely excited to straighten now. I just had to share. I can't be selfish :) HAPPY HAIR GROWING!

BTW I got the idea to go out and buy this combination of products from Ateyaaa on youtube. LOVE her and her *SWANG* Now I see why she loves the products so dang much. What was I thinkin?

OP you know we like to see, LOL. Well atleast your styling day was effortless and enjoyable. Congrats on finding a regi that works.

I added the photos. Now the hair looks thin in the blow dry but really my hair is so much thicker. The camera phone make it look really airy it's a little more dense than that. I do have thin hair but that's exactly what I'm combatting now and it feels great. :)

OP, it's a wonderful feeling to know that "you can", especially if you did it and feel like your blow dry job was up to par with your stylist.

I am used to rollersetting my hair b/c that's all I did to it when I was relaxed, so just last month I made the attempt to blow dry and flat iron it myself after almost 2 years into my transition. (I had tried a couple of times before but was having too much difficulty and just jumped back in the shower, co-washed, and pulled it back in a bun:ohwell:).

After watching countless YouTube videos and reading a LOTTTT of advice from the ladies here, I took my time and was able to blow and flat iron with no problems at all. It was almost effortless and I was sooo happy, so I know exactly how you feel!

I love your curls!

I haven't quite embraced my curls yet. I don't know how to do the cute little poof on the stop of my head or anything really. Or products to use while it's curly so I've been sticking to what I know I guess. I was dang near ready to perm the mess out of or at least tex lax before yesterday. Maybe I'll like them better as they get longer?

Here's how the straightening job turned out. Now if feels MUCH better than it ever has, and it's also thicker, but it doesn't look much different from 7 months ago :( I was in weaves at that time. Maybe it'll finally start to turn around now that I'm out of them :( Could this be my moment? LOL I need to get a real camera my pictures always look really bad and you can't see how shiny and nice looking my hair really is :) Sorry about the lines through my hair I used my fingers, couldn't keep my hands out my head lol

Your hair looks beautiful. I think when you keep these products with protein in them in your rotation over the next year, you are going to see a great deal of retention. That's what the lady in the UTube said, it doesn't happen over night but with regular use.

You are on your way to long swangin' hair girl!

Good to hear that you found something that works for you.

I don't know how long you have been using these products, if you are new to using so much protein on natural hair, I would say keep a close eye on how your hair is reacting to it. Normally natural hair does not need so much protein, but yours could be different.

I have tried those products (ateyaa inspired) and my hair rebelled.:nono: so just be careful and make sure that they are still working for you after a while.

Some naturals crave moisture so you may want to keep in mind what your hair needs in terms of moisture.

If you are not seeing a difference in your hair's health or length, it may be a sign that something needs to be switched up.

You have beautiful hair. Keep up the good work:grin:

Your natural curls are beautiful!
OMG you rhair kinddof looks like mine. From far away at least. I wish you had a fotki or something. Could you tell me how to do what you did in your first photo of you siggy? Your hair looks the same length as mine but it looks way healthier and longer pulled back like that.
