After giving an apple vinegar rinse an audition last week, I've decided to not use it again. Despite knowing the benefits of using this natural, organic product, it's not for me.
How do I know this?
I'm sitting here with half of my scalp burning and itching for days. I had an allergic reaction to it something fierce. My head went from tingling to tightening to outright burning. So, thankfully, since aloe vera gel is a hair staple of mine, my scalp's cooled down.
Before you ask: Yes, I used the 1/4 cup of ACV and 2 cups of water recipe (which I got from K.I.S.S.). Thus, it's product, not technique.
Lessons learned:
1) Bandwagons can suck. What works for one LHCF sister isn't necessarily a plus for you.
2) If it's natural and/or organic, be wary. Everything natural isn't good for you.
Research like a sum mo' *****. If you're still nervous about trying something, leave it alone. It's called a hunch for a reason. Listen to it.
3) Aloe vera gel should be stocked in every home. It's wonderful for fiery heads
