I just have a few questions, if you don't mind answering. Are you setting your hair with perm rods, and if so, what are you using (a moisturizer instead of setting lotion?), and why the perm rods?

That seems like a good idea...especially for the summer, with a nice headband (to go with your outfit, of course!)

Yes, I do get it set with perm rods, maybe more so out of habit now. My mom is a beautician. She does my hair and she does use setting lotion. But I like it because it's a style I don't have to do anything to. it's just curls and even when those have worn out its close to my texture so it still looks good.
