Have you tried wearing it up with a silk/satin scarf? That's what I do for yoga.

Are you trying to look good during the workout or do you mean being able to pull your hair together to style afterward? I look a HAM while working out to be honest.

Well I know I'm not going to look good while I'm working out getting in beast mode and everything, but in a style where I don't have to do too much to it afterwards to put it into a style.

Scarf. Some variation of these

My hair is in twists so I could leave them down, French braid them, put them up with a clip...whatever.

That's very pretty. I would do that for going out. I could not workout with that on. I would rip that scarf right off of my head because it would get too hot.

I've done the turban one while deep conditioning with a plastic cap under my scarf while I work out. Just bring lots of water!

That's the best part about being natural for me - stress free work outs. I leave it as is - Wng, twist out... whatever. No scarf. Afterwards I jump in the shower and let the steam refresh said style - add some oil to seal and go.

How do you normally wear your hair?

That's what I was gonna say. If my hair is too wet from a particularly intense workout, ill use a cleansing conditioner and rinse out conditioner in the shower. Seal a lil condish in with oil depending on my plans for the day, and throw a headband on that sucka

I use the above scarf methods. Put on some pretty earrings to match my outfits and a little lip gloss.

It's perfect, I look cute and I can workout hard.

ETA: Plus the scarf will keep the sweat out of your eyes.

1) scarf just around edges of my hair (If I have energy put oil around edges as this helps w/frizz)
2) I work out in the morning so my hair is usually in my night maintenance braids, twists or bantu knots (usually about 12 braids etc.. at the most)
3) after working out put grease, pomade or something similar on edges if needed and tie down
4) remove braid, twists etc.. after showering and rock loose hair
use headband on front of hair if looking fuzzy
This is my favorite thing to do because loose hair styles tend to be more forgiving than slicked down ones

If I am doing a protective style I will do something like a bun w/flat twists or something in front that doesn't force me to have my hair completely slicked down, I will wear a think scarf on the front part then use gel or spritz with water and tie down after working out to refresh.

Hope this makes sense

This is how I wear my hair during a workout. If it's previously loose, I just throw these in. They take 5 min. They keep my hair detangled so afterwards, I can cowash and bun. Usually it's in a bun though.

I work out 6 days per week, hard core cardio and weights. I have incredible shrinkage, and although my hair is longer than collarbone when stretched, it is barely ear length when shrunken.

When short on time, I wear a scarf just like the white one pictured above. I've learned that the less I do with my hair, the better.

I sometimes braid my hair in huge sections using synthetic bulk hair and pull it into a high bun...it takes two hours to braid, and I can rock this style for 2 weeks. Otherwise, I twist my hair using shea butter (about 15 total) and pin them into a semi-decent style.
