Nape Problems...Especially 4a Naturals

How many of you have problems growing hair at your thinning nape area ?

I have had this problem for over 10 years. I hope it will fill in. But I was just wondering if I was the only one ???

To resolve this problem I decided to follow THIGHSLIKEWHATNAPPS rosemary growth spray. I really can't tell if it is working or not because I have only been using it a month. I use it twice daily. If anyone is interested I will let you in 3 months time.

Maybe the hair there is just thinner than the rest of your hair? My hair at the nape is thinner and more coily than the rest of my hair.

It took awhile for mine to grow in. I also have to make sure it's moisturized all the time and make sure it doesn't rub against my clothes.

If nothing's really worked in 10 years, I'm inclined to agree with nchristina...maybe it's just a thinner or finer texture than the rest of your hair.

I would just make sure your clothes aren't rubbing against the area and that your styles aren't done too tight to help it from thinning anymore. I also use a rosemary spritz when edges look thin and it fills them right in.

rosemary spritzes in addition to not wearing scarves tied tightly at the nape and hairline have really helped my nape and temple hairs reach a good lenght.

I'm having this problem. Just thought it was something that happens when your hair gets longer, cause I know a WHOLE lot of folks who have the same problem. Mainly folks who have a nice length of hair.
When my hair was tapered in the back I didnt notice it being any thinner, but when I gained length thats when I noticed it.

I've had that problem too I used ACJazzes RMGS and I have also used surge. They both worked give it time.

I've always had this problem since I can remember, but individual braid extensions grow my nape like crazy.

My nape grew alot when I was natural and I keep the length and it's grown since I relaxed too. It's probably the longest party and finest section of my head.

I just keep it mositurized. When I was natural I would made sure I added curl activator to that section twice a day. while relaxed I make sure I put oil mositurizer there and then I pin it up tiwce a day too. I make sure my scarf is tied on it. I replaced all my scraves with a satin bonnet since I was natural. I think that helped me retain growth there too. It's the longest it's ever been.

it really just requires extra care due to its fine texture

Not natural anymore, but Surge really helped me. My nape is longer than ever because of using surge.

As long as there isn't too much pulling (manipulation) in that area and it is not dry, it should grow. The hairs on my nape are as long as the rest of my hair but is baby fine and thin.
