the curls are lovley, but my hair shrunk up too much. My hair which is about an inch or two from bra strap is now up to my ears in tight curls. Should I pick them out?

It sounds beautiful!

I've never done it before, so I'm not sure if you should pick them out or not. I probably would just a little, b/c they will fall on their own.

Which method did you use?

i did the two strand twist method (I think that is what it is called). After conditioning, i applied biolage leav-in tonic and some of Proclaims hair serum then I took a section of hair divided the section into 2 and twisted them together. After that, I began to twirl the hair tightly until it coiled into a a ball on my head. I did like 16 sections of these and let it dry completely. Usually, I only let is semi-dry so that my hair won't be so tight like this, but then the curls are as springy and nice.

I don't think that you should pick it out. The curls will probably drop tommorrow. That way, the style will keep longer.

my hair shrinks drastically in twist outs. i usually untwist them and fluff them, but i dont pick them out per se. only because i like my style to last 3 days and it falls on its own over those 3 days.

i use lotta body setting lotion to set the twists. meaning i spray it on right before i twist. once my hair is all twisted i spray s-curl on top of them and put my bonnet on . what determines the tightness of my curls is how tight i roll the ends or which size rollers i use

Also, the curls will be more loose if done on dry hair rather than wet. That's what I do with my braid outs so I keep most of my length.
