Ladies,
I am a former lurker who decided to come into the light! I will try not to post a long thread, but I just wanted to tell all of you guys that I love you all!

I found this forum because I had worn braids for the past 14 years straight, and after i took them out and wore my natural hair, I had BSL NATURAL hair that i didn't know what to do with! I permed my hair in August 08, and it was pretty....until I started flat ironing every day with no heat protector, no product, no nuffin! Needless to say my hair broke off to SL. :wallbash:

So in March of 09 I started my hair care journey. I am currently transitioning back to natural and you ladies have been so helpful! I haven't jumped on all of the bandwagons, but I did invest into a hair steamer, was able to put my regimine together and now im smooth sailing back to BSL natural hair.

I not only learned how to care for my hair PROPERLY, I also wanted to tell you how the Chorella thread helped. See, my husband has central nervous system lymphoma, and the tumor is in his brain and affected his vision, walking, talking, etc. We have been through chemo and radiation and the tumor is gone, but he still cant walk or talk well, and he suffered from double vision. After reading the benefits of Chlorella, (and yes i read all 500 pages :lachen:) i immediatly RAN to amazon and ordered some Source Naturals Chlorella. I started my husband on it immediately about a month ago, and im happy to report that he is walking better, talking better AND the double vision is gone! After all the meds he has been on I thought nothing would help him and I have been depressed severly for a very long time. Thank you ladies, especially you LuckyDestiny for starting the thread.

I even started rubbing Mega Tek on his scalp everyday because his hair just wouldn't grow back after the radiation. After 1 week he had peach fuzz, and after a month he was able to get a hair cut!

Ladies you have given this newbie here hope. (wipes tears away):lachen:

I now have healthy hair and a healthier husband! (with hair!)

CherieMarie
