. . . and no, I am not getting a relaxer right now. *lol*

For the last couple of days my head has been itching . . . especially the nape of my neck -- it actually hurts a little bit down there and I'm feeling bumps . . . .

I have no idea what is causing this . . . perhaps I'm washing too often? (I've been doing it about 3x per week lately . . . but I've been doing a lot of moisturizing . . . maybe I'm focusing too much on my hair and not enough on my scalp).

Any thoughts on how to handle this? Also, I do want to get a relaxer soon (like in the next 2 weeks).

Mn and castor oil did wonders for my scalp and itches but if think you have bumps i am not sure what to say. You might reduce washing to twice a week. Have you added any new products to your list? Also have you started eating anything different?

:bighug: I am so sorry that this is happening to you I had itchy scalp so bad once that I broked some of my hair out so bad due to digging and scratching in my head you might even consider seeing a doctor

are the bumps like hives? It sounds like an allergic reaction. Did u try some benadryl w/anti-histamine?

Hmmm . . . I wonder if the garnier fructis did it? That was the newest product that I've tried. I do think that the over-abundance of scented products (Sunsilk, Silicon Mix, Garnier Fructis, etc.) might have something to do with it. I will try using castor oil. (I can't take benadryl because it interferes with other meds I am on.)

Thanks, ladies!

My scalp itched pretty bad a few days ago but when I
upped my water intake it staved off almost immediately.
BTW castor oil is the truth. :yep:

Now that I think about it, my water consumption hasn't been as high as usual lately. Thanks for the tip!

I have about 4 lil sore bumps on my scalp right now and the Sunsilk Anti-Caida and Hydra TLC cremes and Star Colagen y Placenta cond are the only new things I've been using. I was just wondering about this today and what c/b the culprit. I'm going to 86 all 3 products.
