Okay ladies, this is what I have worked out in the 6 weeks that i have been on the board:

-wash every 3-5 days with CON
-conditioner: pantene s&s, aphogee 2 minute reconstructor (1/month)
-oils: olive oil and emu
-moisturizer: mango butter
-styles:flexi-rod (mostly airdry), occasionally rollersets and will be trying twist-out
-supplements: daily multivitamin, 5000mcg biotin (will be adding noni juice and maybe msm if i can find one i can drink)
-sleeping in satin bonnet

i am open to any and all suggestions. am i missing anything? help!

what are u currently usin as a moisturiser?? the s curl wud be a good suggestion but it all depends on how u wear yo hair on a daily basis which is another thing to take into consideration... how do u wear yo hair normally??

Dstdiva ~
Do you flexirod your hair at night and sleep in them? How long does it take you to do your entire head?

yep, that's exactly what i do. i'm too lazy to get under my bonnet(except if i'm trying to go somewhere). it takes me about 30 minutes to rod my hair. it used to take longer, but i've been getting faster. i put my bonnet over them (some still stick out and i look crazy, but oh well). in the morning, rub a little oil on the parts i made and un-rod. then i put some moisturizer on my hair and separate the curls (most times i do the separating in the car after i've dropped my son off).

Hi dstdiva,

Your regime looks very good to me.

For a good leave in, you can try the Keracare leave-in conditioner, or the Elucence moisture balancing conditioner. I like them both as leave-ins. The Elucence is really good and works well as a moisturizing conditioner and a leave-in.

Forgot to ask you, do you do any deep conditioning at all? If so, what do you use?

Thanks Pebbles... now I'll be running out to purchase the keracare leave-in conditioner because i love the humecto so much.

dstdiva ~ Is your hair still wet when you wake up? And if so, how does it look? Also, what size/color rods do you use)

well, i leave the pantene on for bout an hour. sometimes, i also rub some of it in my hair and use it as a leave-in.

usually not. if it is, i use my bonnet dryer for about 10-15 minutes before i take the rods out. i use the blue rods. if i have any little pieces sticking out (it happens sometimes because i had some breakage last year), i use the red ones on those. sometimes, i also use a couple of orange ones on top.

if it doesn't work, keep trying. it took me a couple of times to get the hang of it. make sure your hair is very wet when you roll it (keep a spray bottle handy). don't get discouraged!!!

Your regime sounds good. Do the flexi rods pull on your hair at night? That would be my only concern. Also if you are looking for liquid MSM, why not try powder MSM and mix it with water. I have Trimedica powder. I just put some on my tongue and follow it with some water.

thanks you guys for the feedback. sweetcocoa, i don't feel like the rods are pulling my hair. the actually feel comfy (maybe i'm crazy). i will add the pre-treatment and i will start back on my msm. i have found that since i have been vigourously moisturizing and using just about no heat, my new growth is coming in very soft and wavy. my hair isn't brittle, it's very shiny. i'm sooooooo pleased!
