Been here from long time
My Steamer from Salons R Us arrived today. However, I have a question regarding the bonnet portion. Is it supposed to look like this?

It has a hole in the center and I wanna know if it's damaged...

No, mine does not have a hole like that. Mine just has the vents. I'd give them a call and send them the pictures.

I have the same one from SalonsRus, ordered it last month, and yes, mine does have that hole... so far, it has worked fine for me, I've used it at least once/week for the past 4 weeks or so...

Thanks for your responses ladies.

2 no's and 1 yes so far. Has anyone else seen the hole in theirs? It's the PRO 150 Model

Mine does but it's not a complete hole. It doesn't go through and it's at the very top. Works fine.

No! It should only have vents that you can open and close. I would contact them immediately and email them pictures because it appears to be damaged or defective.:nono:

Even in the web picture provided in this thread, if you look closely, there is a little hole in the middle of the hood. Even with mine, it clearly looks like it was made to have that little hole there (maybe as a part of crafting the hood), it does not appear to be a "defect".

OP, if you don't see any cracks or other more serious flaws, I wouldn't worry about it. I posted in Exoticmommies, thread about kinda feeling like this steamer was cheaply made, but I think that little hole in the hood is the least of the issues with this steamer. From all accounts, salonsrus has been really great with sending out a new steamer if yours is truly defective, so don't fear, if it is broken, you can get another one. Again, I will say, mine has been working fine, hole and all.
