Got my hair braided on Sat. (8/20). It was long overdue and with me being pregnant I have no desire to do my hair and it's way to nappy to touch it anyway.

Thanks ladies. I'm going to keep them in for a month. I wanted to get a relaxer when I take them out but I've been hearing mixed responses about relaxing while pregnant.

pretty!

I can never leave cornrows in for a whole month. I hate that. Mine look a hot mess after 2 weeks.

Wow, those are cute! I've been searching high and low for someone who knew how to do cornrows like that and feed the hair in so I wouldnt have that big bulge of hair at the beginning of each cornrow. I have yet to find that person who could actually do it. :ohwell:

Your braids do look nice. It's a wonderful feeling to have your hair braided up for a while and not do anything to it....ahh, how I remember the dayz.
Enjoy!

Your cornrows are off tha hook! They are so nice and neat. I loved my cornrows when I got then in too, so carefree..but, I wish they could of lasted a lot longer as I had planned, 6 weeks...mine barely made it to 2 weeks, I had a lot of new growth and severe itching. I prefer box braids better.

oooh i love it!! how long is it in the back? and what are those cornrows called? did they start them with ur own hair?

Me too. The only people I know who could probably do it like that would be the Africans but they charge entirely too much.

Thanks ladies,

The braids come about 2 inches above my butt. The cornrows don't have any special name as far as I know but I did go to an African salon, my usual place that I go to. When she does my hair it stays good. Yes she starts braiding with my hair and then adds the hair. I have a few other styles that she did in my album. Usually after a month people are asking me why I'm taking them out!

Yup Rai! I'm counting down the days til I'm due.

those are hot! Make me wanna cry tho' I want cornrows so bad! but they are so expensive, plus I'm afraid of losing what hairline I have left. I want something like what you have where they start with my hair but the cheapest I could find was $75.

But I'm not hating, only love, your hair looks great :)

Hey Hair buddy!!!
Your hair looks great... how are you feeling? Will I see you at the next meet and greet chez moi on 9/17?
