My long hair day (long)

Ladies..let me tell you about my day today...it was one of the worse I've experienced in a while. My regular stylist went out of town for the holidays and left me to fin for myself

I called a shop that I usually pass by on a regular basis. I called her and was scheduled to come in at 12. 11:45, I'm there.....

There are 2 ladies with relaxers in their hair..
There is one in the chair getting an application...
There is 2 other ladies in the waiting area...(not including myself)

12:30 rolled around....12:45....1:00....(by this time I am pissed)I wanted to walk out so bad, I needed a relaxer so bad..I thought I'd just grin and bare it..

FINALLY

at 1:15 she calls me back...but of course she had to wash 2 of the ladies relaxers out..while one of her clients washed out anothers relaxer...YES one of her clients

that was sitting there getting a deep conditioning.

When she finally gets to relaxing my hair...she said..wow! You need a trim very bad...and I kindly told her no thank you..I am very picky about who does my trims and cuts...
She said oh ok..

Then she says..you didn't tell me your hair was this long, relaxers on long hair cost more...$10 more...

she proceeds..THEN she gets on the phone..orders a pizza...argues with her boyfriend on her cell...goes next door and buys some ice....turns to the stories...

She then decides to take me over to the bowl...she didn't do a deep conditioner...GUESS WHY?? They are $10 extra...NO THANKS..I'll pass!!

I got my rollerset and I'm under the dyer...thinking to myself..."where is Wanda?" "Please come back Wanda?" (my stylist)

Now I'm dry...
This whole time she is styling my hair she is telling me that I should get a cut, she knows a real cute cut that would fit my face...I DON'T want a damn cut!!

If I did get a cut..would that be another $10 extra too??

4:45 I'm home..just couldn't wait to share this news with my sistas..

5:30-on my way to flat iron my hair because it's HUGE!

NEVER AGAIN...Gosh..I see why so many ladies do their own hair..where are all the good stylists at?

$70 bucks down the drain

WHEW!!! i know it was a bit of a waste of money, but i'm relieved that there was really no disaster you couldn't recover from. you can make summo money, but if that ***** had cut your hair after you asked her not to, it woulda been on and poppin at Christmastime!!

Yes, I did make progress (that's the good thing) but she put sooo much holding spray on the rollerset..I like a free flowing rollerset/wrap.

When I walked in the house my kids said mommy your hair looks like Oprah....LOL

Thank goodness there was no damage

Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you guys that after she relaxed it she told me that the ends weren't bad afterall...I knew they weren't....she just wanted to get those scissors in my head!!

lol, I feel your pain girl. This is one thing I absolutely do not miss. Thank god the hair's still on your head though (bright side).

Yep that's true. Back in the days I would have been afraid to speak up for myself. I am always afraid of hurting someone's feelings. I just came out and told her the truth. I am very picky about who I let cut my hair.
I asked my husband if that was rude and he said no..he'd rather for me to have told her that than to have come home crying because she cut off all my hair..

The good thing is that she used the same relaxer that my stylist uses. I thank God because it could have been a whole lot worse.

She was just so unprofessional. I don't see how a person can focus on doing hair when they are sitting on the phone carrying on a full conversation..

I came home, flat ironed it and wrapped it..I'm sitting here with my silk scarf on as I speak..(opps type)
