Today while picking up a few things from Cvs dh said the cutest thing. He was like "We are going to be a sulfate free family from now on". I've been telling him to stop using harsh shampoos on the kids. From now on he wants to cowash and use sulfate free poos. He is even using sulfate free body wash. I use burt's bees soap for the kids and he uses Dove moisture(sulfate free). I'm glad he finally "gets" it. He is Italian and never really understood how drying shampoos can be.
I love him so much and I appreciate how open he is to things. At times he probably thinks I'm crazy with my baggies and bonnets
He has been extremely supportive throughout my growth journey. In August 2011 I big chopped my bsl relaxed hair. I was mbl when we met, but I trimmed back to apl for convenience. I secretly chopped my hair down to under an inch long. I hid my hair under wigs for several months until one day he walked in on me undoing my cornrows. I was horrified! I seriously thought he was going to dump me. I know that sounds silly, but you never know
He ended up loving the crap out of my natural 4b hair. He encourages me to wear it out more, but he also understands the importance of protective styles. My current length is apl. I did a second big chop in January 2013. I'll be back later with pics
