Okay, so I got cornrows 2 weeks ago, and I just took them out. Look how much hair I lost! :cry3: Is this normal?

I used my hands to take them out, and then I saturated my hair with ORS Hair Mayo and let it sit for an hour. Then I rinsed it out in the shower, using my Jilbere comb, and I still lost all this hair, and it's still coming out!

I just put it in a braid for the night.

I want to get a Dominican blowout tomorrow, but I'm scared I'll lose more hair...

Relax... looks like normal shedding to me. You haven't been brushing or manipulating your hair during those 2 weeks so the hair that was shed had no where to go until you took the cornrows out. I wouldn't be too concerned.:look:

ITA. She summed it up very well. I wouldn't be concerned either.

I agree with everybody. But make sure when you comb your hair in the shower that you are very gentle. I have found that with my hair it seems to break a lot easier when wet.

Whew! Okay, I feel somewhat better. I'm not used to seeing this much hair in my comb. Kind of discourages me from getting braids again though... Thanks ladies.
