Good job, you look wonderful! Looks like your hair is getting thick <3

Thank you. Yes, it's gotten thicker from the Wild Growth Oil. I had to stop using it; it was making my hair too thick. :look::lachen:

wonderful progress.

Beautiful progress and very pretty braids!

Thank you!
:clapping: congratulations on your progress, you’ve done a great job! Your hair looks beautiful.

Thanks. :yep:

Great progress! Your baby girl looks just like you :)

Thanks. You think so? Sometimes she does; sometimes she doesn't. :lachen:

Nice progress! You're a great self braider too :D

Aww, thank you so much!

Wow girl, I was looking at the pic from last year and then I scrolled down, I was not expecting all of that.

Your hair looks great, you've done a good job!:yep:

Oh, thanks Ceebee! I wasn't expecting it either. Especially since I kept cutting and cutting even after the bc to get rid of all the damaged hair. And I am still cutting; not just trimming to get my hair at it's best. It seems the more I cut, the more it grows.

You get 2 KUDOS! One for self-braiding :cup: and One for retaining the growth :cup: That is awesome progress and inspirational! I swear sometimes I look at my pics and my hair is growing nowhere. But when I see all of the lovely heads on LHCF :drunk: :drunk:I think I can do it too!:yep:

OMG, thank you so so much! And, girl, you can do it, just find out what works for your hair and stick to it; it's probably something very simple. And Wild Growth is no joke for thickening the hair and encouraging growth. And don't forget to massage your scalp! :yep:

Awesome job Blessed_Angel! Keep up the good work.

Thanks K!

Very nice progress !!! :yep:

Your hair looks so healthy and thick. Wonderful progress!

Great process. You hair looks great and very heathly now.

Excellent progress! That is some fast growth!

Your hair looks nice & healthy, good job.

Thank you! :yep:

You are taking great care of your hair too! (You know I'm used to seeing your dd's progress)

:lachen:Yeah, I try to. :lachen:It's getting better and better. It was doing fine until I touched that darn flat iron. Now I avoid it like the plague! :lachen:

YES!! YES!!! YES!!!!!!! :worship2::worship2:

:lachen::lachen:You are too kind! Thank you! Thank you, thank you!

Your hair looks great girl!

Wow! So healthy looking!

You and your daughter hair is beautiful!

Thank you ladies.

Thanks Ms B; my dd's hair is more work than mine.:lachen:

Beautiful hair...you and DD!

Oh, thank you!

Wow girl!!!! That is great progress. I am so proud of you! :)

Thank you; I am proud of myself too. I've learned what works and doesn't work for my hair; and it's been doing great so far. I thank God for that!

Wonderful wonderful Progress and great job on your braiding skills.

Thanks Toy; I love it, but it's a lot of work. I said that I would never get braids again, but there I was, back at the thing that saved me many times when my hair was too short to even put a ponytail. I've never had a weave, and I wanted to have a style that I could "control" and maintain myself. I have a love/hate relationship with braids. But I hope that I never "need" them again! :lachen:I'd rather rollerset any day! :yep::lachen:

Great growth! What products caused the protein overload? How could you tell that your hair hated it?

What is your regimine? Thanks, I want to avoid protein overload as I am currently using Megatek.

After I got my relaxer in September, I used Aphogee 2-minute reconstructor. And then weekly I was co-washing with Nexxus Keraphix. There's nothing wrong with the products, but I was just using too much protein. I also was dc'ing with Kenra which has protein in it as well.

I knew my hair hated it because it would be so dry after my rollersets, and nothing really moisturized it.

Regimen:

Poo with Kids Organics Conditioning poo or Elasta QP Conditioning poo (or if I'm co-washing, I just use whatever conditioner I have on hand). Then dc with Infusium 23 Moisturologie conditioner or Alter Ego Rebalancing and Energizing Cream.

I then rollerset with Paul Mitchell the Conditioner Leave-in and Silk Infusion heat protectant.

I've been steaming with the conditioners (using Samantha Jones' method) to help get rid of the PO. Now, with a recent touch-up, I am almost back to have a great moisture/protein balance. :yep:

I absolutely LOVE the big pictures. I can see everything so well. At first, I thought you were saying your hair was one length moments before you relaxed and then the longer length a couple of hours later. It took me a minute to realize the shorter pics were a year ago. :wallbash::blush: Silly me...

Your progress is nothing short of amazing. It looks like you retained ALL of your growth. Imagine what would have been your length if you had NOT cut?!?! Just wow!!! I wonder what my hair would look like if I had not stopped with my braids in 2007....

Thanks for posting and congratulations!!! I know you are sooo happy! BTW, I think my hair likes protein...but not so much....:nono:

Blessings,
cj

Thank you so much! And yes, I am VERY happy to be back on track!

Yes, I retained all of my growth, but I was still cutting off damaged hair. If I hand't cut my hair, oh, man, I'd be BSL by now; when I cut my hair I was past APL. :yep:

Yeah, you have to find out just how much protein your hair likes. That's key to maintaining the balance! :yep:

Wow girl! Very pretty and wonderful progress! Congrats!!

Wonderful Progress.

VERY NICE!!! :D

Thank you ladies!
