Loving this thread just one crazy question .... how can you tell what your hair loves or hates? It would be nice if someone explained why, for those of us who are yet trying to find the holy grail of products for our luscious coils. I became a product junkie so I am just using up everything I have ... leaving to join the "use your stash challenge"

What's crazy is that my hair used to love shea butter. But now that it is past the twa stage, it won't act right.

I think my hair haites coconut oil. I bought once and it always seemed to make my hair dry.

My hair loves oil rinses. So far I've been doing with Olive Oil, but I want to try it with Castor oil, which I'd have to get at Wholefoods.

I haven't been to my local Wholefoods yet because it is clear across town. Plus I'm afraid of coming out of there with much more than castor oil. I don't really consider myself a PJ, but get me into a Wholefoods and I lose my mind.

clean scalp (have enough sebum there)
Conditioner with lots of slip(cones included)
oil (st johns oil (JohanissKraüter Öl)) on the edges
grease on the ends to seal
protein conditioner every other wash
buns
wash and go's after a fresh shampoo& condition when it's warm outside
black protein gel or LA looks gel mixed with a bit of conditioner
When i get enough iron (floradix helps)

My Hair Hates
Wash and go's when it's cold outside
sleeping without a little bun on top(too many tangles, broken hairs etc...)
co washing(too much build up, no matter what product)
being combed while dry
