Thanks for trying to help me lol.

Yes, I use a hair serum just before blow drying and straightening. I don't use a leave-in. Unfortunately I can't remember the brands name. Do you think that might be the problem?

I would say my hair is quite fine, but it appears thicker due to density.

0live0il It might be too much product for your hair. Maybe try to just use the hair serum before you blow dry your hair, then continue on to flat ironing with out reapplying it?

I agree. I spray a Chi serum I bought a few years ago but that's it. I try not to coat my hair with anything greasy prior to blowdrying. I apply an oil (avocado is my favorite) after my hair is done. This is to add shine and get rid of any flyaways.
