My hair is groqing all crazy!

First off my hair is finally long enough to where I can tell my true texture. 3c, and 4c.....it's so weird. I hace curies, and then I have no curl at all. Inoticed that my 4 type hair is starting to grow down. I have themost 4 type hair around my ears, and its starting to touch my ears, sometimes i even have to tuck it behing my ears. But my 3 type hair is growing up. It's growing up so bad! And its not showing length like my type 4 hair. It's growing lots but the shrinkage is so bad my hair looks lopsided. I don't want to shape my hair till I have more length....is this the awkward stage people where talking about? I think I might have to find a braider. It's way to hot Texas for me to get a weave....I might just get cornrows with extentions.

BTW how long does this awkward stage last. My last relaxer was in April. So i'm 5 months post.

Yes, braiding will help the awkward stage where you can't really do much with it. That's what I did when I went natural.
