Tues. Sept 9: I did a root wash with Elucence MB Shampoo, and con-washed with Suave Coconut, I then did a ACV rinse to prepare for my protein treatment w/ equal parts Elucence EMRT& Elucence MB, after that I used my At One with Nature for 3 min in the shower. I decided that I was going to roller set my hair, my setting agent was ORS Carrot Oil and I used med & large rollers. I pin curled the curls from rollersetting and combed them out in the morning. I didn't know what the HELL was going on, but it looked like I had 3/4-1 inch unrelaxed roots and I got a touch-up on 8/21!!!!! I am trying to hold on until I reach the 6th week mark, but I don't want my hair to break off like it did during my rollerset.
Wed. Sept 10: Felt like crap, my hair would not cooperate for anything and so I just twisted it up and put it in a claw clip. When I was combing my hair it was breaking because the texture from my roots was so different from the rest of my length/ So all in all I had a pretty crappy day all because my hair wouldn't act right.
Later on that night I re-washed my hair. I did a root wash with Paul Mitchell Special Tee Tree Shampoo and conditioned with Keracare Humecto which I kept on for about an hour (no heat/plastic cap) I then rinsed it out and applied Wild Growth Hair Oil to my hair and blow-dried my hair on warm. I then put on my satin scarf and went to bed.
Thurs. Sept 11: I didn't have enough time in the morning to do much to my hair so I just wore it straight, but in between my classes and the time I went to work I went to the beauty supply and bought myself a ceramic curling iron (1 1/2 in. barrel) and I bought some Kemi Shea Butter pomade for my fiance, you know I had to try some though, I used it on my edges and the consistency is suprisingly light and it smells a bit like Kemi Oil.
My hair is now shiny, moisturized, swinging, and it's not breaking when I comb it. The lesson of this is I need heat if I'm going to have a dramatic difference in textures on my head or my hair is going to break like CRAZY!!!!
