My hair dries fast...what are the implications?

I've noticed that my hair seems to airdry really fast. I'm texlaxed with fine strands. I also have med/low density.

For years, I assumed that having fine and low density hair was the reason for my hair drying pretty quickly. Nowadays, I'm wondering if that is the simple reason or if there are other reasons....

I don't feel I suffer any ill effects, I'm just curious.

I wash my hair with Keracare's Hydrating & Detangling shampoo. I condition afterwards with Humecto for at least 30 minutes afterwards. I rinse out and apply a small amount of It's a 10 (white bottle). This routine works great for me and I end up with really light, shiny and bouncy hair.

I thought perhaps it is a porosity thing contributing to how fast my hair will airdry....

Keracare's products are pH balanced, so maybe a porosity imbalance is addressed by using them.

At any rate...I'd appreciate some insights, opinions on the subject.

You may just have high porosity or maybe your density allows your hair to dry quickly. Do you suffer from dry hair?

Dry hair? Absolutely, unless I'm deep conditioning with Humecto.

To be completely honest, I'm not sure how to identify moisturized hair necessarily. Aside from my hair being obviously wet...I believe that it's moisturized when it's manageable, has movement/shine, and when my ends look good. I also figure it's moisturized when it's not breaking off into my sink. I don't know what OTHER indicators are.

Moisturized feel somewhat cool to the touch and is more manageable. It sounds like you have high porosity. You could do an apple cider vinegar rinse before rinsing out your conditioner or use Roux porosity control to help close your cuticles.
