This thread probably will drop, but, I have to post it, because I posted a thread about my girlfriend PULLING my hair several months back.
I would be remiss if I didn't also post that she has been kind and complimentary about my hair since that incident. Always telling me, "I like your hair." "Your hair looks good." "your hair is getting long" etc. I'm feeling bad now, that I highlighted my friends' initial reaction to my growing hair on a public message board. They are sweet and kind young women and I should have given them the benefit of the doubt.
Not condoning the pulling, but it's good to experience black women being genuine with each other and also feeling confident enough in their own skin to be complimentary, even if they've been less than that in the past. There is considerable hope for us yet, ladies.
