As the title implies, I did it all by myself!!!!!!!!!
I started around 4pm Sat and finished around 4pm Sun.
During that period I had to do other things as well...........
I was 'challenged' to do it by my loneself when 'my' braider flaked on on me. To cut a long story short, I'm kinda happy she did, I would never have known I had it in me. Life teaches you stuff like that:rolleyes:
Anyhoo, pics are in my fotki. Stop by and don't be shy to leave your comments!

Bravo! It came out great. Hey, you need to enable comments so people can add comments to your fotki.

You did just great and it saves you a PILE of money!!

Now you get to encourage others who just THINK they can't do it!!!!!

Congrats and happy growing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Very nicely done, Deola! Oooh, you take me way back with the hot-water treatment. Love the wavy look. And you will get addicted to them. Been in mine since April and still going strong with no plans to undo. Also hand in hair disease is catching.

they look great. This was your 1st time self-braiding?

Can I ask what kind of hair you used. I've been thinking about braiding my hair a lot lately, but I just haven't had the time.

Thank you ladies! My dollars are saved for other things:grin:
Nonie, I had the hand in hair disease cos of all the new growth, I just had to put the braids in or I would have caressed the NG to death!:spinning:

InNeedofHairapy, I used the 100% kanekalon hair. I used about 2 packs. It really is great for braiding cos it's soft and glides in your fingers so you're not constantly separating the hairs. I say just do it and don't think about. I thought I never would have the time but after my braider was a no show again, something sparked on the inside of me and I just did it!

great job!!!

see I will have to pay someone to do mine whenever I get them:ohwell:.. You are lucky to know how to do it yourself!!

They look sooo good. Now dont you feel enabled and empowered ? You can do them when you want and is convenient for you.
