Grow, hair,Grow!!!
I posted a thread yesterday asking you ladies what size rollers I should use for my shoulder length hair, well, I set off to the bbs to get me some rollers. I got just about all sizes there were, cuz I can't control myself too much.
When I got home I decided that I was going to do conditioner wash, because I had washed Saturday night. I also decided I was giving myself a pretreatment with EVOO and safflower oil. I smothered the oils on dry hair until the hair was moist(1/4 cup) and put a plastic cap on and left for an hour or so. I then got into the shower and rinsed the oil out and added some conditioner. I could already tell the difference, my hair was extremely soft, but I felt it was still a little oily, so I decided to follow with a little of my CON diluted in water and OMG!!! My hair was the softest it's been in a while. the comb just glided through the hair without tangles and I could feel that my hair wasn't stripped. I got out of the shower and proceeded to do my first rollerset and I didn't even need to apply anything to my hair because it was so mosturized due to the oil treatment. I just added some watery leave in and went on. I never knew rollersetting could be so difficult!! My hair kept dancing on the roller and I had to use about 4 clips to each roller. When I was done I wrapped my head with 2 scarves and went to bed.
In the morning I took the rollers out and thought:" What a crappy job!!! My roots weren't straight(I only relax to remove 60% of the curl nowadays)so I remembered the threads about the dominican blowouts, and got my hairdryer and lightly blowdried my roots. The result was AMAZING!!! My hair is sooo soft and bouncy. I totally loved it. The only drawback was having to hear my husband gripe about the rollers on my head all night.
How come I never did this by myself before?? I know I'll get better with practice and hope that I can bypass the hairdryer phase and just wrap it to get it straighter.
Thanks girls for being inspirations to give me courage to do this.
I don't have pictures yet, but my new digital camera is coming in today, so later on I'll post them.
