My First Experience with CurlFormers, come see!!

That came out gorgeous! Good job!

Thank you, I was really surprised that the curlformers worked so well on my natural hair.

so very pretty :yep:

Your hair is gorgeous. Thanks so much.

Oh lawd, those are spectacular!!! I think you and Pinkskate's, have motivated me to get some CurlFormers.

Every since the first time I saw Pinkskate's hair with curlformers, I wanted to try them. Now I am glad I did.

:wow: Gorgeous!!!
Thank you for your tutorial after watching it, I was able to use the curlformers without any trouble on my first try.

Beautiful Results!!!!

Thank you!!!

Gorgeous!

You make me wanna try them again. I riped hair out when I did mine.:wallbash::ohwell:

I did not have any trouble putting them in my hair. I believe the key to not "ripping" your hair out, is to make sure that you do not put too much hair in the hook and try to pull it through the curlformer. I did not lose any hair while I was puttung the curlformers in.

Your hair is so pretty and black.

Gorgeous curls.

Thanks!

Really pretty!! :yep:

Thanks so much.

Beautiful! I love mine as well.

I'm gonna have to get myself some of that SMB because your hair held up really well after 8 hours.:yep:

Thanks. I like the SMB and I only used the 2 small samples that they sent me. I am definitely getting the full size.

Very pretty!! I'd like to try it too

OT:la flaca.....how are you girl? I feel like I haven't seen you in a long time! I miss seeing your hair...it's beautiful!

OP: Your hair came out beautiful. I want to try this as a natural, but I wasn't sure how it would come out. Maybe now after seeing your results, I may pick up some and do it as well.

Has your hair reverted at all since using the Sabino Moisture Block and did you use heat or airdried your hair?

Thanks in advance!

Beautiful curls! I haven't tried mine yet....I'm a little scurred...people talking about breakage and such.:nono:

Your hair looks beautiful...just perfect.

Now, why are you upset that you didn't add setting lotion? How could your hair look any better...it's just so pretty.

Angel, your hair looks professionally done.
Did you blow dry or stretch your hair out before curlforming or did you go straight from washing to curlforming?

Thanks!

Don't be scared. If hair is being pulled out or breaking, then it's not being done correctly.

Give it a try, the results are great!:yep:

Thanks, love your hair in your siggy.

Thank you.

Please give them a try, your hair is soooo long and I know your curl will be loucious. I sat under my hooded dryer for about an hour because I wanted to make sure my hair was dry. When I use magnetic rollers, it takes about 2-3 hours for my hair to dry.:ohwell:

It took me about an hour to put the curlformers in my hair and I did not experience any breakage. I just had to make sure that I did not use too much hair in the hook.

girl I might have to look into flexirods and see how they do, because whats all the talk of possible ripping out hair and breakage with these. knowng me I wouldnt do it right and I would be the one it happens too! Too bad because your results are really beautiful! But I'm too scurred now

Thank you ladies so much. I do not have time to thank everyone individually, but I will try to answer all questions.

I can always count on you ladies to be honest and voice your opinions and concerns.

I will try to post a picture of what my hair looks like today. That SMB is awesome and I did not even use setting lotion.

Thanks a bunch.

Love you guys :bighug:

Hi ladies, I added 2nd day hair pics in post #1. I guess my natural hair held up pretty well, considering the wet weather and all.:wallbash::wallbash:

Any suggestions on how to curtail the frizzies:perplexed. The SMB is awesome, too bad I only had 2 small samples to use. I am definitely ordering the full size:yep:.

Your hair is beautiful too.

If you look at my 2nd day hair pic that I added in post #1, you can see some areas where my hair started to frizz and become poofy. I believe I did not put enough SMB in those areas, but I think my hair held up pretty well considering that I got caught in the rain.

To dry my hair, I sat under a hooded dryer for about one hour.

Thank you. At first I was scared to use the curlformers too. I took my time putting the curlformers in my hair and taking them out; I did not have any breakage.

Thank you so much. I was thinking that if I would have used setting lotion, my curls would probably hold for a few days. I really think that the SMB will be all that I need, especially if I have enough to put on all of my hair. I only used the two small samples that they sent. Can't wait to get the full size bottle.

Thanks girl.

I put the curlformers in my hair straight from washing. I detangled my hair in four sections, applied giovanni direct leave in and SMB to each section, then I put the curlformers in. It took me about an hour to put them in my hair.

I can understand your fear. Like I said earlier, I was scared too. But I did not experience any breakage whatsoever. I have seen excellent results with flexirods, but I tried them and I could not get my roots to be as smooth as the rest of my hair (maybe I need more practice with them). I am sure that your hair will be beautiful with the flexirods, I can't wait to see.

Ok, not only is your hair goregeous, but YOU are beautiful!

I was just practicing with my curlformers last night. I cw my hair, used giovanni direct leave in and my samples of sabino moisture block. I hate that I did not use any type of setting lotion.

I decided not to unravel the curls because it was really humid outside.

This is after working eight hours on a busy med-surg unit.

This is 2nd day hair after eight hours of work. Note the frizzed areas, I probably did not put enough SMB to these areas. Also, I got rained on going in to work (darn those summer showers). I guess my natural hair held up pretty well, considering the wet weather and all.

Whooooaaaaaaaa wait.... you're NATURAL and pulled of such silky looking hair???? I couldn't even do that during my transition or when I was relaxed!!! do tell........
