If you read the book, for corkscrew and botticelli curls...she washes with a conditioner, then applies conditioner again. That is what I do, as well. If I am deep conditioning, I will clarify with ACV, then condition.
Personally I dont think our hair can be overconditioned. It can make styling difficult when it is too soft and fluffy but as far as basic black hair care the more moisture the better.
