Never doing it again, I couldn't leave the house for 3 days.

 Godo job but i knwo what you mean when you say 3 days  I just do the outside of my head that way I can ull them up into a pony and cover up whats not done. Love and learn :) Looks good though :)

They're beautiful. You did a great job!

Ooh, that's pretty, and I like the purple highlights.

Thats what a friend of mine did. I would have never known it wasn't completely done.

Thanks everyone!
I found it a bit of a nightmare to do though. I got my bf to part the back, I just couldn't do it. And just getting the synthetic hair to stay in place while starting the braid was tricky.
I like how they look, but I'm not totally enjoying having them in. Some of them are starting to slip out a bit, and my head is looking very fuzzy due to stray hairs. Washing my hair (scalp) is a chore and still doesn't seem to get washed properly, and it takes hours for the braids to dry.
I find that they get in the way when I'm doing things. I can't tie it in a ponytail because it feels weighed down. The only thing I can do is grab a bunch on either side of my head and tie them in a knot at the crown, this stops them falling in my face!

beyondcute: great idea! But if I get braids again I think I'll just pay someone to do them for me!

Also the longer the braid the heavier the end result. Ill never do waistlength braids EVER again. I sat on them and they do get in the way. I alsomt gave up on having waist length hair becaseu of all the struggles I had with the braids. When I did my braids it was the cover up of the century. I still have pics in my fotki of the way I covered up all the undone hair
