My Fingers Worked Some Magic

Hi Ladies! Today was my wash day and I followed what I had planned to do. I DC with MnT, rinsed, used Tresemme Naturals Conditioner and detangled, rinsed, and did my final ACV rinse. Then, I decided to try the tightly curly method one more time. This time I used less product and did larger sections and doodled them.

I took a 2inch squared section of wet hair, sprayed my water and glycerin mix t, then I added a dime size amount of GDLI, smoothed and finger combed, then applied castor oil from root to tip, I then finger combed again and let my hair section on its own, I took each smaller section, pinched at the root with my left hand, then pinched with my right above my left and proceeded to twist and curl the section around my finger going from the root to the tip.

These were the results! I love it!!!! It reminds me of when I used to set my hair on rods but without all the annoyance and awkardness of the rods.

Only problem is..........how do I preserve this? HELP! Any ideas. Thanks!!!

Cute! Maybe you can try a few twists at night to help preserve the doodles. I've never tried this doodle method myself but I think small twists could help and/or a satin bonnet.

I have no clue how you can preserve it, but your hair looks beautiful!

I use to wear fingercurls all the time.

The way I preserved mine is by wearing a satin bonnet, then in the morning spritz the sections that were smashed, mostly focusing in the front, and that would take just a few minutes. For me it was really easy to maintain for a week or more.

When you say doodle, do you mean you did it kinda like a finger coil? When I do that to my hair, I find that they tend to stay pretty well. I sleep with this on my head at night now

which I got from Sally. It seems like it would preserve your curls well. It does a good job with mine.

Thanks ladies! I have that cap but never opened it!! I'm look for it and wear it tonight. I want them to stay fresh tomorrows my DS birthday and of course its Juky 4th weekend.

BraunSugar. Yes I mean finger curls/coils. I said doodle because that's what the TC(Tightly Curly) lady terri calls them.

@BraunSugar that's the exact same bonnet that I use :yep: It's great for longer curls.

I love that thing! I saved my life and now I can get up to 6 day hair!

:ohwell::perplexed:look::sad:......what board is that?:lol: I like to have catchy titles. It brings the people in and I get my question answered very quickly this way.

ETA: I don't frequent any other boards.

 Well I can't name any of those type of boards because I tend to not frequent those types of boards. But use your imagination I'm sure you can think of those types of boards I'm talking about.

I agree it is catchy and attention getting. Pretty curls, btw.
