Good job! I don't think they took that long to fill in. :)

I have fragile edges too. I put conditioner and coconut oil on them everyday and smooth with my hands instead of a brush.

Yes they have filled in beautifully. DH already knows the rules. Hands out of the hair and I gotta tie my hair up before we play. I got him trained, LOL.

Yes, good recovery. Congrats!

About how it happened.... LOL.... But I always thought that laying my head under his armpits after the fact is even worse and it affected one side of my hair. That's my problem at least

Thank you laidies and when I posted the other thread about it you all were so supportive (cept those few lol) I really thought it was normal and coming with age

I was wrong and I'm very thankful to have them back again. I was accepting that thats just how it was, and was going to just be, but after the 'edge love attacks' were over, I did start to baby them and they did come back-I didnt think they would

so I am thankful!!!! Indeed!

I've given up on my edges (I couldn't commit to fixing it), my daddy has it and so do I.
Is it genetic or have you had fuller edges at other points in your life?

I think my edges were fuller at other points in my life

but it can also be genetic, I do believe it is for me somewhat, I was just pushing it all there faster with what was going on, so when that stopped they filled back in some

I can only at least do my best to keep them as much as I can, but I have seen the 'widows' peak in my family alot. So I figured thats what was happening with me, well I still might end up with one, but for now I got some of it back

Been trying to find out what that's called. I thought a widow's peak is a hairline that meets in the center of the forehead? What you showed (and also what I have, what's that called?

Hi!!! Been a while...LOL Your edges have grown out beautifully!!! :) But let me ask you this... why in the world your ex think it was okay to tear your hair out during intimate activities? Sounds like torture!!! I think the rule would have to apply. LOL

Yup, they've definitely filled in. :yep:

My edges have been thinning but the only action they were getting :look: was frequent too-tight bantu knots. I'm being more gentle when setting my hair in styles and plan to start incorporating JBCO into my regimen.

Hehe girl he wasnt tearing through them, he would just rub all through my hair and stuff, between that and sweating I guess:look:, yeah it was like a tangled mess it was me brushing through them after that took them out

i didnt always do it gently , it wasnt easy to get a brush through that mess:wallbash:

I think it is a widow's peak, its where it peaks at the very top onto the forehead and the sides go back forming the peak

I'm only 18 and I can tell that my edges are definately not as thick as they should be, but I've tried my best to minimize brushing and rough manipulation and that seems to be working.

My mother is now 43 and her edges have gone from horrid to much better from me persuading her to not relaxer that area. She's even got "baby hair" again, lol.

In my family on my mother's side it's heriditary so I know that my edges are destined to thin out more, but anyways...congratulations on your success!

Iris, I won't comment on how the edges disappeared in the first place LMAO!!!!

But I do know that stress can make you lose the hair around the front. Don't ask me why, I just know it can happen. My only recommendation for you is to maybe wear a wig with your new future boyfriend LOL

Thanks Ladies, I kinda figured they did

AND I figured out what it was, :lachen:

well lets just say, my ex man would get all into my hair (edges) during certain activities :look:

and I would be left with a small 'halo' afro afterwards :giggle:

and I would brush them back the best I could but they would be SEVERELY tangled

so after this edge mayhem AND torture was over, lol, I just oiled my edges every/every other night with Coconut oil and brushed them LIGHTLY , The hair there is VERY fragile, So the 'Oh baby (rub all up in the edges was NOT WORKING) felt good tho :sekret:

:lachen::lachen::lachen::lachen:

Who knew good lovin would be bad for your hair. Iris, girl you are crazy.:lachen:
