My edges are off the hook now. :perplexed They seem to grow faster than the rest of my head. What can I do to make my edges super smooth? I want to wait till at least april or may to relax. I just got a relaxer in january.

Thanks ladies

I WISH I HAD YOUR PROBLEM!!
I use castor oil on my edges cuz its thick enough to hold my edges down... when Im having a rough day, I use Elasta QP glaze on my edges

Offtopic: I see that you are from Laurel... I was there earlier looking for an Indian grocer that ended up being closed... it was actually in Burtonsville behind the Amish Farmers Market....check it out if your are into the Ayurvedic stuff

You can flat iron(warm press) those edges. My hair is like that now. Edges look a mess and then you see all this straight hair. And i'm just 7 weeks post.

And wrapping my hair (scarf method) after oiling it down with coconut oil helps to lay down the edges.

I just order some Black Castor oil as well and hope that helps to lay it down!

You could try a wax stick. TIGI has one.I've never used it but I've heard good things about it. Castor Oil isn't thick enough to reeeally flatten mine out. I also like Paul Mitchell Tea Tree Wax. It comes in a tube and it slicks my edges down in nothing flat! Alittle of that and a light brushing or scarf and I'm set.

Fantasia IC gel! I'm 14 weeks post, wearing a ponytail as of now, and my edges are flat, wavy/straight! :yep:

I have 4a hair if that helps

My edges also have a mind of their own. There isn't much I can do to them when I stretch except apply some Glaze to them. I don't want to put any heat on my edges when I stretch so I guess I've just come to accept them looking a little rough at times, lol.
