I've been weaving it up to get to shoulder length. Now I'm here,I noticed an issue that hopefully has an easy fix. When I moisturize my hair now,it still feels dry, then I put a tad bit more,it starts to look weighed down and still feels dry like I didnt put enough.I want to be able to wear my hair down sometimes w/o it feelings looking weighed down.Oh,and please dont let me seal,a dime size will definately look too oily then I feel like it was only enough to get my ends good. What should I do?I still use the same moisturizers and oil that worked great b4,just got a fresh relaxer.

Try pre-pooing. I pre-poo with oil on my scalp and conditioner on the ends, either moisturizing or protein, then sealed the ends with oil. Sat for at least 1 hour and DC with either moisturizing or protein deep conditioner depending on which one I use as a pre-poo. If I used a moisturizing conditioner for the pre-poo, then I would use a protein DC or if I needed more moisture, then I would use all moisturizing conditioners.

This has helped me dramatically. Hope that helped some

Thanks for responding, but I want to at least keep my fresh relaxer look for 1 week,I already prepoo when I wash though and you're right its great

I know what you mean. I seal my wet hair with coconut oil and shea butter. Since you are relaxed and probably won't be styling your hair while wet, try using your moisturizer and sealing with extra virgin coconut oil. It's very light and excellent for sealing in moisture. It also adds shine.
