My coworkers ganged up on me about my hair

yes i'm 9 weeks post but geez they didn't have to come up to me and tell me what's wrong with my hair and what i need to do to fix it. mind you it was the wrong advice (i should be relaxer every 4 weeks cause of my thick hair, stop washing so much, etc...). then as if that wasn't bad enough they actually used my edges as a demonstration of how to properly apply relaxers and they offered to do it for me next time. AS IF!!
Well what does their hair look like? If it's healthy and to their booties (or whatever their desired length is), then maybe I'd listen if they came correct. But I have a feeling their hair isn't off the chain like that for them to be doling out advice.

Girl, you missed my post about something similar a while back. I was stretching and my hater ***** co-workers were all up in my business!!!:mad:

One even acted all kind with baby-talk saying, "mami, I hate to tell you this but your hair is dreading up in the back" and "you need to cut it" and on and on and on. I have had numerous hair interventions (not to mention my recent anorexia intervention, I guess they needed something else to talk about:confused: ).

Now that my hair is long and full, the office is silent:lachen:
One chick even slipped and called me rapunzel in a very sarcastic tone, I guess she had nothing else to say.

Just wait, you will be there too. We all had to go through the rough patches to get where we are. I am now approaching waistlength and all but one of those coworkers wear weaves:look: :ohwell:

the thing is they probably think they are helping. I have had people do the same thing to me, telling me i need a relaxer. maybe i like it when my hair is frizzy and everywhere :ohwell:

i would jus say upfront i dont want to put all those chemicals in my hair so often and if you have a problem with it dont look at me. :grin:

that should shut them up... hehehe that might shut them up fpr good and you end up being the stuck up BIII...oo i am getting to detialed here. :)

yep! been the same length since i've been working there (4 years). her hair looks like my "before" pictures. the other one's hair is less bad but not by much. she thinks she's an expert cause her sister does her hair regularly. oh and she told me that conditioners are for white people only.

I bet she has some dry crunchy hair, and her sister does other ppl's hair and does not put conditioner on it :confused: I bet her client list is short (probably just her and her sister).

Now that's just downright ignorant.

Sounds like there's Hater-ade in the water cooler instead of water!

So now we have people policing our personal choices:mad: I have a co-worker who wears her pants so tight that all her crater-like butt dimples are visible - and I do mean ALL! Should I get up in her face? What about people who have dreads, locs, or TWA - do we need to whip them into shape?
These women have too much time on their hands. The clothes closet and soup kitchen are looking for volunteers. Tell them to get busy with that:lachen: :lachen: :lachen:

EWWW!!! :barf: :lol:

I can only imagine what her head looks like. Anyway ignore them. It's your hair and you know what you're doing. How stupid 'conditioners are for white people only'.

ITA. Just some silly females.

I always say to people who have something to say about my hair (like why i wear it in a bun or up all the time) that it's my hair and I do what I think is best for it. End of the conversation every time.

Next time that happens, say one of these;

"Ya'll giving out hair advice? What next diet tips from a bunch of fat chicks?"

"I rebuke you in the name of Jesus and healthy hair."

and my personal favorite

"Kiss my black ass! I will relax my hair when I get good and damn ready!"
:lol::lol:

:lachen: Well, when you finally do touch up take comfort in seeing your results. You can do a lot of terrible things to your hair to make it look good for a day. Lasting results take time and sacrifice. :) Hang in there!!
This is great advice :up:

Ok that is it.... I am getting sick and tired of co-worker giving advice and wasn't asked.

It is time for a girl fight. Like my sigi below...

I'm sorry they did that to you. They need to get a life and then they would not have time to be all up in somebody elses roots.
