Ok so my blow dryer of about 8 yrs died :lachen:and I'm a little distraught. I am really thinking this is a sign, and that not repurchasing another one will really save my hair. But I have never lived without a blow dryer and I'm scared :nono:. I know deep down that the blow dryer has always been my one issue as far as my progress is concerned. I can not for the life of me roller set my own hair I have tried repeatedly and just can not get it :wallbash: I can however roller set everybody's hair on this board beautifully  but not my own. I learned this when I was in cosmetology school but never learned or was taught to do my own . Please save me ladies, I do air dry but it always results in a puff of some sort and after my wash Friday I air dryed and yesterday i flat ironed and it caused breakage so I'm at a loss as to what to do from this point on. Help me please

Awwwww Thanks Supergirl I know it is but I think I might go thru some withdrawl symptoms :lachen: what do i do with out it, Im at a lose, because whenever I needed my hair dry fast I would use it and now that we are in the cold days of winter here in NY i don't always have the 2 days of air drying time im gonna go crazy:spinning:

I agree. It is cold right now! I don't air-dry, air-dry in the winter time. I sit under a hooded dryer for about 15 minutes first. That gets the drying off to a nice start.

As far as specific air drying methods, it looks like you have enough hair to get a pretty smooth air dry. If you will step out of the shower after your final rinse and not towel dry, squeeze dry or anything, that will help. Let your hair be sopping wet. The weight of the water pulling down on your hair will help your hair to dry smoothly. If you use leave-in, then put it on your hair sopping wet. Let your hair hang. Don't ponytail or bun it at all. You need it hanging so that the water weight pulls on it.

I am not saying your hair will be smooth as flat ironed hair, but the puff you spoke of should be gone or at least less.

When my hair is mostly dry, I will add one of my oils to it and then bun it and put a scarf on it. This is how I get the sleekness that heat gives. After an hour or so when the oil has absorbed, you would never guess that my hair has air dried.

Thanks so much, I'm gonna try this because I need all the help I can get :lachen:
I'm not gonna buy a new dryer :wallbash: I'm not gonna buy a new dryer :wallbash: I can do this.

Thanks for all your help Supergirl :hug3:
