My Baby's Perm is Gone, Too!!

Yep, I did it. I cut my 10 year old's perm out. She has about 3-4 inches of hair now. Her hair is 4a/b. I'm trying to figure out some cute styles, that I can do with her hair type. It's very dense, holds water like I wish mine could, and does it's own thing..She wants her curls defined and to look like the ladies on LHCF. I tried my homemade curly pudding on it, but it made it white and I don't have a dryer. Any ideas?

I use the Fantasia IC gel for color treated hair (blue one) and get pretty good results. My hair isn't color treated, but very dry.

look at you, you are on a roll. i did my 13 y/o sister's BC 4 days after mine so i know the feeling. i have been putting her hair in yarn twists till i figure out what else i can do that she will like. luckily she hates heat and chemicals and wont have them within 10 feet of her scalp.

Braided up into a puff! I love that style and I think it's age appropriate.

ditto...love this style on my dd for summer...but she's wearing cornrows done by the African braiders this summer since I'm not styling her hair
