Good morning Ladies!!

Well, I finally did it. I colored last night with Clairol's Textures and Tones in Bronze. I didn't get the result that I was expecting, but I'm not bald and I don't resemble a clown so I'll call it a success. My black hair is EXTRA resistant to color, so I sat under the dryer for 25 mins just to get the color to lift. I left it on twice as long as I should have (40 mins). I was going for a highlighting effect, but ended up with more of an overall color.

This product promises 100% gray coverage (NOT) :wallbash:
The pic in my siggy I took this morning. You can't see the color at all.
Please go to my album and let me know what you think.

On a positive note, the process was not messy. After I rinsed the color out, I shampood with CON for color treated hair ,the conditioner provided (excellent) and applied Affirm 5-1 resconstructor for 30 minutes. Finally I added Biosilk silk therapy and blow dried it. I slapped on my satin bonnet and went to bed.

I flatironed with my Chi this morning after spraying Proclaim spray on glosser.

Special thanks to Tracy and Kitchen_tician for answering my numerous questions.

soooooooooooo do you like it!? lol!! i think it looks good!! :yep: and i can see the color!!

did you have color in previously?

My hair has never had anything but a black rinse. I really don't know how I feel about it yet. Since its never been another color, it takes some getting used to.

I think it is very pretty but it did come out a lot darker than most of the ladies' hair I've seen with this color. I hope you like it. :yep:

It looks good to me. I would love to do this color but I'm deathly afraid of double processing my hair and then losing my progress. How do you feel about it? Did you color all of your hair or just sections?

I was TRYIN to color in sections at first. When I didnt see anything happening, I coated the front sections. I only added color to the back the last 10 mins or so. Right now my hair is very soft and I lost no more than 0-15 hairs at combout.

It looks good !! did it come with developer? if so what volume was it? that might have affected the lifting!

It did come with a developer (vol 2?) I have very black hair naturally and it does not want to lift. I've been to 3 salons and they weren't as successful as I was with this.

Hey Nicki! I think it turned out nicely! You did a great job. :) You'll really be able to see it in the sun and it may lighten more in the sunlight. Eventhough it may not be the color you really wanted, remember to moisturize/oil it and give it the extra treatment it needs. ;)

The color looks very nice. I am so tempted to color my hair. I would like a nice medium brown. I had TnT in my hand tonight and I put it down. My fear is that no matter what color I get my hair always come out more red than brown. I don't want red/burgurdy I want med. brown.

Thanks bunches!! I will be extra vigilant so I don't have to post a thread called "the big chop". :look:
