My hair is straw-like when I straighten it..

I need help with straightening my hair Ya'll. I didn't even bother to finish it off My hair just came out straw-like and greasy What am I doing wrong? I use a heat protectant and put my hair in sections. But I still can't get it right.

It's nearly been 2 years. It's going to be my 2yr anniversary in Feb but I felt like celebrating now, even if it's not my birthday

Dont flat iron with oil on your hair. How high is your iron? Even if its dried in... You can use it after, or use a water based sealant instead. I find mine is like that if I flat iron with oil cause it literally fries the hair (i had been doin that for while.)
