First off, Im sorry I don't have pics, I don't even own a digi cam, but I will soon, as I want to make an album.

Anywayz, I braided it in 8 plaits, four on each sides. I don't think that I braided them tight enough as the braid outs weren't that defined. I did them on dry hair, after using my Maxi. And I didn't really get them flat to the head, as there was a little upwardness of the plait (sry that is the best I can describe)

SO can y'all give me pointers, do I do more plaits, use a product? DO it on wet hair???

TIA

Do you know how to cornrow?...cornrows, IMO give you more definition...in my fotki (first album) I have a pic of my braidout done by using cornrows...i did about 8-9 of them going straight back...and also added perm rods to the ends.HTHs.

Thanks Lady Lioness and victorious!

yea, i can cornrow a lil sumthin....i guess good enuff for a braidout...

Hey,

I prefer plaits over conrows, I think its just much easier. My braidouts usually come out nice, I've gotten many compliments. I have pics up in my fotki in my Protective Hairstyles section. I usually do a braidout on wet hair. After I detangle, moisturize, and add all my oils.

I didnt use any product....I was just plaiting my hair to go to sleep...

My hair never relli holds the crinkle from plaits I've noticed....I used to put my hair in two plaits every night and i noticed it didnt hold...But that was just to contain it....I would brush it out and style...

Hey Elle,
I think you should really use some moisturizers, when plaiting your hair. I use NTM Silk Touch Leave In, and vitapointe, it works wonders. Also when Im done i put a scarf on then head to bed. I also think that brushing out your braidout can be very damaging:confused: , you should just finger comb it and go.

Hard waves= damp hair. I never have had good braidouts w/ dry hair. If you are gonna go that route, you really should use a molding putty or something. I usually have my best twistouts/braidsouts when I do my hair damp,w/ shea or coconut butter, and let the twists/braids stay in my hair for several days

DITTO!!!!
I use ntm silk touch for the braids and jojoba on the ends. I never ever would try to brush or comb out my braidout.

I actually prefer conrows, much easier to do and quicker... Here is a braidout that I did,....Also located in Fotki Album...
