does n e one here use this stuff in the following manor:

apply to scalp, baggie overnight, and then wash hair next day and continue w/ their regular hair routine.

In other words....does n e one use it once a week (or whenever u wash as a pre-poo treatment) and still feel they get good results

I dont wash mines out the next day because I want it to penetrate and marinate. I will apply for three straight days then do a co wash apply for one more day or two days then a regular wash. For example. Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday use MTG then Thursday co wash apply MTG Friday and then regular wash on Sunday. I apply MTG about 4-5 times a week. I do baggy with it at night as well.

thanks...I stopped using the stuff cause the smell can get annoying but I knew there had to be another way to use it and get some results.........thanks.....I guess my thinking is that the product does get a chance to penetrate the hair folicle since it's on for more than 6 hours or more.......I'm going to start doing this. Now the question is....what can I do to keep my bed from smelling like a BBQ?

The smell dissipates during the night while your wearing the baggie...I don't even smell it when I wake up....I use MTG straight no chaser

LOL....... ....I'm going to try this Friday night.

I added jasmine and peppermint oils to my MTG and it really cuts the smell. My daughter said i smelled like a peppermint patty:grin:

But as far as the smell totally disappearing the next day, thats not the case for me. I still smell it all day, its just not as strong or as stinky.

In my opinion....... it is a waste of the product to apply it, then wash it out the next day. I have been using it for over a year now, and have achieved the best results by putting it on the scalp every evening, sleeping with the head baggied, and washing only 1x per week. When I used MTG once per week and washed afterward, I did not achieve nearly as much growth. That bottle was wasted, in my opinion. Even the directions on the bottle indicate that the product is meant to be left in the hair between applications, without washing.

And actually, the smell is still quite strong in my hair the next morning..... but i dont care, this doesnt bother me at all.

But hey, one thing that i've learned from this board is that different methods work for different ppl. :) One person's hair may thrive doing one thing, and another person's hair may not respond to this at all. So i supposed it depends on you......

HTH.

I have to agree with Kinikakes. When I first received MTG in May, I would use overnight and wash out in the morning or simply pre-poo for a few hours and wash out. I definately felt I wasted the product that month. I just started back up the beginning of Aug and I put MTG on after my hair has airdryed. I don't wash again for 3 days but I don't reapply until the next wash. My scalp is moisturized with the MTG for the entire 3 days and I can see much better results like this. HTH:)
