MTG and break out

i just wanted to know if anyone had break outs from MTG. i just started 11/9 and i wear my hair in a wrap 95% of the time. my hair is a little bit below my shoulders. is it better to wear my hair up when MTG is in my hair?

another question. I have some isoplus tree tea oil. is it okay to melt and mix it with the MTG. will it change the effect. i wanted to use isoplus to mask the smell.

Although I have not gotten rashes or burns, I am starting to think that MTG is breaking me out badly. My face has small pimples popping up where they never used to pop up. I'm not sure it's the MTG though b/c they are on my chest now too. VERY WEIRD. I washed it out last week since I am getting my relaxer this weekend and the pimples have not really gone away as I hoped they would. I'm not liking this at all. :nono:

with the mtg it is an oil it will run OVERUSE IS REALLY EASY if it runs on to your face or shoulders/neck a breakout is possible. i avoid this by using a spray bottle and protecting the places i dont want the mtg. also use it sparingly

your pics say your ends are damaged are the split, they look ok in the pics

that's because i clip often. it's mostly breaking and shedding. hopefully the MTG and mango butter will help that. i like the idea about the spray bottle. what do you mean sparingly?

I use MTG just about daily and I keep my hair off my face and neck. It is oily and prob. will cause break outs. (?)

So I have been also changing my pillow cases like every 2-3 days b/c they too have a little of the oil on it.
And also making SURE I don't slack on my face cleaning regimine.

Don't use it all over your head... believe me, the parts of your head where you don't spray the MTG will get the run-off from the parts you do spray.

I would suggest not using MTG a week or maybe even two weeks before a relaxer.

I made the near fatal mistake of MTG'ing the same week of my last relaxer and almost wound up in hell it burned so bad!

Well my co-worker had a terrible allergic reaction to sulfur, kept her in the hospital for months. It was almost fatal, you need to see if you are allergic to sulfur. I kind of do feel some dryness around my ears though.

Will someone please, please, please tell me what to do about the burning and the rash i have just developed on the back of my neck. I have been using MTG for 2 months now and have never really paid attention to the threads that talk about it burning, etc. because I have never had a problem. I have MTG in a color applicator bottle and use it EVERY DAY. I was in the store tonight and tried on a wool jacket and all of a sudden my neck started burning fiercely after trying the jacket on. (my hair is pulled up so I was thinking it was the jacket collar that brushed up against the back of my neck)......The back of my neck has been on fire since early this evening......I came home and looked at it and I have little red whelts. At first I thought it was the jacket, but I tried on 3 wool jackets and my neck didn't start burning until I tried on the third one, so I am wondering if its the MTG that is finally taking it's toll on the back of my neck.....

For those of you that have had the burning, what did you use for it? I have been rubbing some benadryl on it, to no avail, but I swear it feels like someone has a blow torch on the back of my neck!!!! Please someone chime in to let me know how to relieve this burning.....

I stopped using it for a little while and the little whatever it was on the back of my neck cleared up. Now, I have it mixed with some WGO and a few others to help dilute it a little bit and I use it much more sparingly.

I agree w/ Kimberly--and also wear your hair off of your neck--or as much as possible. Especially if you have the MTG over all of your hair.

What did you use to ease the burning sensation? or did you have one at all? Girl it's a brand new day and the back of my neck still burns and itches really bad. I was hoping it was the suit jacket I tried on (had wool in it), but then again I really hope that wasn't what it was b/c I bought that first suit I tried on!!! I thought the benadryl would help but it only stopped the itching for about 5 mins. I put on a turtleneck sweater today so the cotton would be soothing up against my skin, but that's not helping that much........

Lucky for me, I need to stop using it right now anyway since I will be getting a perm in two weeks, so we will see if it goes away and if that was the culprit...

I did have a burning sensation and it was very tender like if the baby brushed it throwing his arms around my neck, it would hurt. Honestly, I just stopped using it. At the time, I wasn't sure what was causing the prolem but I was going to stop using the MTG because my hair had grown so fast and thick and nappy and I still had about 3 more weeks to go before my relaxer.

But the back of my neck did burn and it felt rough.
