ITA. If it does not say "SAFE FOR HUMAN USE" on the side, then don't use it. Try to exchange it or just get your money back.

My daughter bought the one for pets by accident however we compared ingredients and they are the same as the equine. She is on her second bottle and loves it. No problems. It just cost more than the equine version for some reason.

OP,

That's that one that i am using and I am receiving great results. I have been using it for about two weeks now and have lots more left.

Horses are 8-10x larger than the average human. One thing movies and tv can never exaggerate is the size of a horse. This will affect the concentration levels of what's made for them vs for humans. Personally, I wouldn't use it, but if you keep the concentration in mind...I doubt you'll lose your hair. So this is a good news-bad news scenario.

The concentration of the active ingredients are FAR higher for the horses than humans, that's the only real diff..but an important one. The human stuff costs more because it's subject to FDA approval and all that jaz.

so if she diluted it, do you think it would make it safer to use.

Oh, well if it says it safe for humans and people are getting the same results then it's fine.

I have the one for pets as well. When I ordered mine I was supposed to get the equine version, the lady told me she was out but she had the one for pets. So I asked what were the ingredients and before I could finish, she told me they were exactly teh same, but that the pet one cost more. She said probably because it's just business, people are willing to spend more money on dogs and cats, and so they can market the product at a higher price for pets, even though they are the same product. I was like wow, like okay. So then that began my quest going to pet stores like Petsmart and see if they had it, but haven't found any yet at those places. I live in Virginia so we have lots of horse stores. So it's really no problem. I've had no problems with this so far. And my hair has been doing great. Although I just started, i'm looking forward to great growth. When I saw what my hair did on it's own (check out my fotki or my pikistrip) from the end of June untnil the beginning of September, I wanna see what this will do! Good luck to all and HHG!

um, i wouldn't try it. just because you wanna just stay on the safe side. Just look at it as a little money loss. Just get the right one so you will have a peace of mind.
ETA: so, if some say this isn't safe, wouldn't that mean that MTG isn't safe for human use??

If the company puts it's name on the line to say that it's safe for human use, I'm going to assume that it's okay to use. *shrug* The pet one costs more, for the same ingredients, is all.

OKAY MY SELLER JUST SENT ME AN EMAIL SAYING NOT TO BE ALARMED WHEN I GET MY PACKAGE BECAUSE THE LABEL WILL BE PURPLE and says pets on it . He said its exactly the same product...I dont know if I should be like ok or just snap because I hate the fact that he didnt even send me an email to let me know before he shipped as I kept contact with him!

The pet version and the horse version ARE THE SAME. I asked the store owner and he said yes and compared the ingredients. The concentration is the same too.

I had the pet version first, then bought the horse version, they are the same. We have plenty of horse stables and feed supply stores in our area, and they are the same as stated by store owners. I see no difference in the products. It is safe for human use as well.
