does it matter if it is the pill or the powder? I currently take the pill. Or is there not a difference as long as it is the same dosage?

Thanks for the info.

I have been taking the pills for about 3 months and can def. tell a diff. in my hair!

I may try the powder next

I need to get back to taking this.. I'm just scurred that I might break out again :ohwell:

Hey Dee! You probably will break out but, I guarantee once your system gets used to it ,and you take plenty of water with it, the breakouts will clear up.

I've been doing MSM powder for 3 months and I have no breakout issues but I did when I first started. Hang in there and don't quit! ;)

Thanks!:) I have been taking MSM for months now. I just assumed it wasn't working.

Girl me too. Then, one day, I realized that I had a LOT of new growth seemingly overnight. On Dec. 13th, my hair was armpit and today it's got about 2 inches of shrinkage new growth and sits at armpit when unstretched.

The other bonus is that MSM has collagen and my skin looks as though I have had a facelift or botox or something. I look way younger.

Maybe someone can answer this? I've always preferred the powder. I feel like my body can use it better.

3,000 mg, is that a lot?

Well, with the MSM powder I have (Vitamin World brand), 3,000 mg is 1/2 teaspoon daily. I'm taking 1 teaspoon daily but I gradually built up to that from 1/4th, to 1/2 to 1 whole over a period of 3 months.

Is anyone taking Biotin and MSM? Would taking the two together be too much? I've been taking Biotin for a little over a month and I just picked up some MSM pills yesterday.

I was asking about this kinda stuff in my thread on hair vitamins.
Why does this cause you to break out though?

It causes your body to detox.

I need to start taking this again. I stopped because I got lazy.

Forget the hair! It might help with my hay fever! Let me start taking this stuff now to get ready for spring.

i'm on 3,000mg per day now, we shall see...vitamins usually work very well in my body...must be because i'm undernourished!!!!

I just purchased MSM because of reading what others are taking for hair growth. Thanks for the link now I really can't wait till my bottle comes in the mail:grin: !!

You might, but it's temporary. Just pick a time when you don't need to be as beautiful. ;)

I started taking MSM for my hair, but I ended up (among other things) with no allergies. I had been taking Zyrtec everyday for the last 3 years.

Ive been taking msm in powder form for years now. Initially I assumed the same thing. I didnt realize how much it was working until I took couple of weeks off. This thing is no joke.

Thanks OP for the info...

I read that the powder form is a little better becuase your body can absorb it better. But if you take the pill and see results than thats fine too.
