Movies to see to Enrich your Life

I saw Facing the Giants this weekend three times. I could not get enough of this movie, It really change things for me. I know we are to pray in all circumstances but this movie really impacted my prayer life. I am so aware now of praying over everything and all things. My son was away for a just a week but I was so worried about him he is a grown man I prayed for his safe journey and I prayed for his safe return maybe three times I prayed and then when he returned I felt the need to pray and Thank God for it. I am so totally blown away by the power of prayer. So here are a list of movies to enrich and encourge your life. I have not seen them all but I plan too.

I haven't seen those other movies but I saw Fireproof. Didn't thing I would- but I loved it! Powerful message.
 
Those "The Stranger" movies are really good to. There's another one that is really good but I forgot the name I have to go and look in bedroom at my movie stash.

My son is grown as well, but he's still 'my baby' and I'm always praying for him. And guess what? He can 'feel' my prayers no matter where he is.

One night he called me and said, 'Mom... is that you praying?" :lol:

My reply:

"Ummm, yep :yep: I am, sweetheart... I love you".

If I could just tell the 'stories' of each of the prayers that God has lead me to and to find out later, that my son was protected from trouble. I dedicated my son and my daughter to the Lord as they were growing up. I'd lay by their bedside at night when they were sleeping, and just pray and annoint them both with oil.

Prayer was the 'only' gift that I could give my children. My love and my prayers which were and are still, steered and empowered by the Holy Spirit.

Lemme stop. Your post about praying for your son, just got me caught up in the goodness and faithfulness of God's mercy which is so very, very, very everlasting. Praise Him! :love2:

Thank you Father God for all of your wondrous mercies which continue to 'hover' over my babies. Thank you Father God so very, very, much. :love2:

Facing the Giants is an awesome movie! It's my absolute favorite and I've lent it out to so many people. Whenever I start feeling down and feel my faith starting to waiver, I pop this movie in.
 
OOHHH WEEEE ! I so enjoyed Facing the Giants and Fireproof.

Thanks for the reccomendations for the other movies - I will have to check them out.
 
Shimmie, You have me in tears at work, I love my children with a deep love. I wish I had thought to pray over their beds but I didn't but there is no reason for me to not start now since everyone is now home with me again.
God is so good, his mercy endures forever and ever and I am praying for his continual blessings on my children. I didn’t know any better when I was pregnant with my son I was only 18 and had just turned 18 and so I prayed and prayed every day for my son and I did not know the lord like that but I prayed and ask God for a son that is kind and generous and loving and obedient and does not do drugs are harm people or bully people are will bring shame on our family and I prayed this everyday I said if he is to be all these things then I do not even want to get to know him. Take him now. Even though I was scared and I had almost had a miscarriage with him several times. God heard my prayers and years ago I forgot those prayers and I was wondering what was going on with him and he said Mom I am not doing those things I know better then that. I remembered right then and there of course he isn’t. God is so so good and so faithful he didn’t forget even though I did. I have met my sons friends and they are very nice respectful woman and men. So I am so grateful for God’s blessings on him. God is truly worthy of praise. AMEN

Praise God! What a wonderful testimony, Blaz.

I still pray over my 'babies'. I used to walk the floor every night and in the dark hours of the morning, praising God for my babies and I'd say over and over, "Blessed is the 'Fruit of my Body'. Father I thank you for blessing and preserving my 'Seed', (my babies) who shall bear much fruit. Their lives are dedicated unto you and unto you shall they give their hearts and their lives. Their lives are in your hands and in your hands there lies therein their Destiny which no devil can hinder nor tear apart."

Blaz, I'd pray in the Holy Ghost and just cried and prayed and praised God for my 'babies'. And I haven't quit. I never will. I was a 'baby' when I had my children, yet in spite of the divorce from their father, God stepped in and prevailed in our lives. I proclaimed before the Lord, that my children were going to walk this earth, living and breathing giving Glory unto God. And they are doing just that! Amen! Amen! Amen! Praise God forever and ever.

Blessed is the 'Fruit of Your Body' Blaz.... Blessed is your 'Seed' , Blessed are your children, 'your' babies forever. :love2:
 
oh and to add I am trying to get but can't get the name right faith of potaotes or something like that. Flywheel was so good I was jumping up and down on that one. You just never ever know when you are called to stand up for what you believe and you don't even know who your talking to. Great movie I loved it. I watched it several times it was so good.
 
Thank you for sharing. Out of all of the movies, "End of the Spear" is my favorite. I need to let my SO watch this. True story!

I saw Fireproof and liked it. Kirk Cameron is a strong and determined christian man and I like that. He's very pro-family and that's always a plus.
 
Bumping, op i hope you don't mind im making a list to go buy these movies today. Does anyone have anymore suggestions, ive seen fire proof very good movie. The ones i already have are

the passion of the christ
the nativity story
the miracle worker
max lucado 3:16 stories of hope
the gospel of john
the last sin eater

I would love to add more movies to my collection.
 
Faith Like Potatoes is a good movie as well. What I learned from that movie is when you have nothing else, when all hope is gone, Your faith will sustain you and blow you out the water. I am standing on faith right now that all of my children will be baptised and saved including my exhusband. Its impossible for my husband to be a saved man. Impossible and so I am standing on faith that I am going to see that man in church and I am going to watch him walk to the front of the church and get on his knees, and when I ask him. He will say I do not even know how I got here. then the people will say whats going on with Blaze praising God so loud people around the corner can hear her. because its not for me its for him.
 
I'll add Love Comes Softly. It's great for those of you who love romance but want something wholesome, clean and meaningful. you can get it on netflix.

There's a movie someone told me about that I'm trying to find... it's about a fake preacher and his clan who went from city to city shamming people. A young boy in a wheelchair was in one of his audiences and because this boy really believed the preacher, he was healed and was able to walk. It freaked out the preacher, who didn't expect anyone besides his "people" to be healed.. I'm still trying to find that movie; had a title with Disciple in it. If anyone knows what I'm talking about, please let me know...
