I noticed this product today. I normally use their treatment shampoo and conditioner as well as their normal shampoo and conditioner. When would I use a reconstructor? When Im doing a normal wash (not a treatment), before or after conditioner? What are the benefits?

<font color="blue"> I use Motions critical protection and repair (CPR) about 7 days following my texturizer because it slows/stops breakage immediately. I use it either after a shampoo (depending on how much breakage I get which isn't a lot most of the time), or if I do get a alot of breakage, I dampen my hair then appy the resconstructor, put on a plastic cap &amp; sit under my hood ionic dryer then rinse. Conditioning afterward is optional. The major benefit is it HALTS breakage

Do u all think the CPR Reconstructor is too strong to use for co-washes? Maybe 3 or 4 times a week? Im asking because its the only conditioner I've found that softens my rough newgrowth when i'm stretching. Its a really good detangler also. I'm just wondering if this is too much protein to be used so often. :confused: Also, do I need to use a moisturizing conditioner afterwards? usually I dont because it leaves my hair really soft.

I use this once a week and my hair loves it. It is a staple for me, been using it for about 3 years now. It completely stops breakage and reduces shedding to almost no hairs per day (and I comb my hair 5-6 times a day)

Motions was in my rotation even before I found LHCF. My hair loves it. I use it at least 2x a month and breakage has never been a problem for me. I use it as my 1st after relaxer conditioner as well.

So the reconstructer detangles-how does it compare with the treatment cos that doesn detangle at all and i normally have to use humecto afterwards. I would like to avoid this. We are talikg about the CPR Reconstructor and NOT the CPR Treatment right? I ask cos thats the treatment in the pic, the reconstructer comes in a bottle

I didnt know that there was a CPR Reconstructor!! My hair loves the conditioning treatment in a jar....maybe I might throw that into the mix for the wash after I have used heat in my hair...just for good measure...:D

But to answer your question...it seems to me that the difference is the amount of protein...

Condish in a Jar (in the picture)= Mild Protein
Reconstructor= Heavy Protein

The reconstructor seems to be in line with Emergencee, Aphoghee, etc. so I would use it ONLY when your hair is really in need of a protein boost...definitely NOT as a condish wash....if you want something similar try the condish in a jar...the only downfall is that you may get buildup because the condish has mineral oil high on the list of ingredients...and the price...

Gosh, I thought it was the other way around, I'm stayling away from that!!!!!

I think I have the reconstructor. I can't remember and I'm too lazy to go look. I know it's in a bottle and it smells like play doh. I love it. It's different from all the other protein treatments I've used. It actually has slip to it and I don't feel like I need a conditioner afterwards but I use one anyway. This is my staple protein treatment right now.
