I use it either after a shampoo (depending on how much breakage I get which isn't a lot most of the time), or if I do get a alot of breakage, I dampen my hair then appy the resconstructor, put on a plastic cap & sit under my hood ionic dryer then rinse. Conditioning afterward is optional. The major benefit is it HALTS breakageHTH </font>![]()

Im asking because its the only conditioner I've found that softens my rough newgrowth when i'm stretching. Its a really good detangler also. I'm just wondering if this is too much protein to be used so often.Also, do I need to use a moisturizing conditioner afterwards? usually I dont because it leaves my hair really soft.

But to answer your question...it seems to me that the difference is the amount of protein...
Condish in a Jar (in the picture)= Mild Protein
Reconstructor= Heavy Protein
The reconstructor seems to be in line with Emergencee, Aphoghee, etc. so I would use it ONLY when your hair is really in need of a protein boost...definitely NOT as a condish wash....if you want something similar try the condish in a jar...the only downfall is that you may get buildup because the condish has mineral oil high on the list of ingredients...and the price...
HTH...
