Healthy Hair Quest..
Hey ladies!

I don't know if this was done before, but can we list moisturizing oils that have worked best for your hair here please?

Thanks!

OK, I'm just gonna say it: oils don't moisturize, water and humectants moisturize, oils lubricate the cuticles and seal in moisture. My favorites are:

castor + ylang ylang (if I want a "heavy" lubricant)
jojoba + rosemary (if I want a "light" lubricant)

I will now hide behind the couch and hope y'all don't throw anything at me . . .

No one is going to throw anything...most will agree actually. That is why I like to mix a little water when I'm doing my new growth or a water based cream, then an oil. Not just an oil first. Actually the same for my prepoo my hair does better if I put conditioner on it then oil as opposed to just oil.

Although I do think that some oils penetrate more than others...I just don't know which ones.

Hmmm, Monoi de Tahiti oil sounds interesting. Where do you get it?
