Hey Ladies

There are some threads kinda touching on this, but I wanted to start something more tailored to what I'm looking for.

I'm shooting bricks in the hair dressing department. I wanted to know what your favorite moisturizing hair dressings are. Not so much oils, but moisture. Please let me know what you recommend and why.

Thanks

Chayil

Mizani H20 Night time treatment- I like the smell and its very moisturizing.
Dursharme hairdressing creme- I really don't use this for moisture, but for shine and smoothing this product works very well.
Qhemet Sidr Tree Balm- for moisturizing, works very well and smells nice.
Qhemet Alma & Olive Heavy Cream- A great moisturizer, but heavy so I only use a tiny bit and only in colder/dryer weather.
Keracare creme moisturizer- good moisturizer, but I only use this product for my nape and hairline. For some reason it does not work on my ends well.

I'm natural and use Elasta QP Recovery Oil Moisturiser. When I was relaxed it was too heavy for my hair unless I was wearing it up (my hair's quite fine). Back then I'd use a dab of Aveda Damage "something" finishing gloss and pink moisturiser mixed together daily. I washed weekly.

castor oil!!!!!!!!!!!! Hands down

Actually I am using castor oil mixed with my recovery. I can't trust using just mpisturiser and not sealing it on!

Qhemet Amla & Olive Heavy Cream- one of my favorite moisturizers. A little goes a long way. It's very moisturizing and makes my hair shiny and soft.

Oyin Burnt Sugar Pomade- Love this so much I did a thread on it. It's like a grease consistency and contains all natural ingredients. I use it alone or to seal in moisture, it works extremely well both ways and provides a beautiful shine.

  1. StaySoft Fro (looove)
  2. ORS Carrot Oil
  3. Longaid Curl activator gel
  4. Castor Oil
  5. Elasta QP mango butter

I cannot find any organic products that work well on my hair but I am trying to start using organic products for my face and body. When one door closes another one opens.

Carol's Daughter Healthy Hair Butter

I love using this for my hair as well. I discovered it as a natural, but recently revisited it now that I'm relaxed and it works just as well. I use this as a creme moisturizer, but more often than not, I dilute some moisturizing conditioner with water and add castor oil, which I spritz on as a homemade moisturizer.

Qhemet Sidr Tree Butter Balm on my wet hair is very moisturizing - on my dry hair it is a bit too heavy.

On dry hair I like Garnier Fructis Sleek and Shine Leave-in cream.

My hair loves the healthy hair butter! It's really thrived since I started using it. It had definitely become a staple of mine.

I'm still searching but I'll say Vitapointe from back in the day. But my homegirl loves Essastions Creme Shine. And her hair stays shiny when she flat irons it and it's not greasy. I have to order some on-line b/c she gets it from Dallas.
