I would say yes because the neutralising will strip your hair a bit trying the wash out all chemical residus. Definetely a good moiturising shampoo will do great. I do it all the time
.
I know that with my hair I could only use the neutrilizing shampoo (the one that came with the perm kit) and nothing else. I noticed that with my hair it felt stripped when I used another shampoo, but my hair is a little diffrent than yours because yours seems to be a bit more stronger than mine ie. limp and somtimes life-less. This was one of my many reasons for transitioning away from it.
I use Nexxus Botanoil shampoo after thoroughly washing with the neutralizing shampoo and then Humectress Moisturizing conditioner for deep conditioning. If I don't do this, my hair will look stiff and feel stripped. I haven't tried a moisturizing shampoo like Therappe after neutralizing only because the Botanoil seems to work so well for me.
The last time I relaxed, I used a moisturizing shampoo after the neutralizing, and my hair felt MUCH better. It was instantly softer, and it made it easier for me to comb the conditioner through
Yes, I always use a moisturizing poo after my 3/4 rounds with the neutralizing poo. ITA with Poetess 232, it makes my hair instantly soft and easier to comb.
